About
Hi, I’m Benny.
I’m an Associate Director of Business Intelligence at Verizon, leading Field Finance Analytics for the Partner Channel sales and FP&A organizations. I care less about the dashboard and more about what someone does after looking at it.
Lately I’ve been heads-down on applying LLMs to data work — optimizing data engineering, embedding AI into our reporting suite, automating the parts of analysis that don’t need a human, and building bespoke tools that let leadership talk to their data instead of waiting on a ticket.
On the platform side, I’m part of a company-wide migration off Teradata and Tableau onto GCP, BigQuery, and Looker — using Gemini and Claude to take the repetitive parts of the lift off engineers’ plates.
I’ve spent the past decade-plus moving up through Verizon analytics roles — analyst, manager, principal engineer, senior manager, and now associate director. The throughline has been turning messy data into something a leadership team can act on.
Most of my current work at Verizon is under NDA, so the projects you see here are anonymized methodology write-ups rather than the real artifacts.
Outside of work I’m usually reading, cooking, or chasing a good cup of coffee.
